PAJAMA DAY
Our photos really don't capture how much we all enjoyed Pajama Day today. We read to our stuffies, wrote about our stuffies, measured them, fed them snacks, and brought them to Mrs. Dunbars room! We added warm, cozy blankets to our Pajama Day beds. We did not have a chance to flip our pretend pancakes but we hope to do that on Monday. Happy Weekend Everyone!

Magic c letters were introduced today
Once you can form a lowercase c properly you can form that same c to make o, s, g, d, and q
The bunny inside the magic hat was so excited to FINALLY be introduced during Handwriting today.

Just a few photos from Today: Twins, free choice creativity, and word writing during Reading Groups
Evelyn and Brooke wore the same dress today and we were all excited that occurred without being planned.
Lily and Rae were happy to see the long lost dot-to-dot paints available this morning.
Taylor decided to experiment with the scissors that did not cut straight lines.
Dylan was listening to sounds isolated and then was able to write the letter down that makes the particular sound and then he can blend the sounds together to read the words he wrote. Wow!
Evie was transferring her knowledge to the wipe board also during her Reading Group. Tomorrow Reading Groups will consist of a book about characters who love to read and your children will be the ones reading it to me. Be on the lookout you may be seeing a copy for home later this week.

Happy 2020 To All
2020 has arrived and our class is happy to be back to school. I am holding myself accountable by posting this evening that I will not let what happened in December (no blog photos) during the upcoming months. Too many good things are happening in our classroom to not capture it and share it. The bears are hibernating in our classroom cave, reading groups started today, partner reading is becoming a new favorite, we are enjoying the snow on the playground, and the learning connections are super exciting to watch. I am so proud of your children and they are seeing progress in their academic growth.
